Riley Getriebe (prewar?)

Hi Jungs,
mir ist mal vor langer Zeit dieses Riley-Getriebe zugelaufen. Der Hals ist zwar gebrochen, heutzutage
jedoch ohne Probleme zu schweißen.
Ist jemand informiert, zu welchen Riley-Typ das Getriebe paßt und wie so etwas gehandelt wird?

Nach einer Restauration schaut man doch mal in die Garage was da so rumliegt und zu Geld zu machen ist

ich habe die Frage mal an das Riley RM-Clubforum weitergereicht.. mal sehen, ob man da eine kompetente Antwort hat.

Moien Manfred,
im RIley RM-Forum gab es inzwischen zwei Antworten. Einer fragte, ob es auf dem Getriebe irgendwelche Nummern gäbe, er haebe ein ähnliches in seinem 1936er MG gehabt (da spreche ich ja hier mit dem Richtigen
). Die andere ANtwort war wie folgt:
"It's a pre-War Riley, either silent 3rd or all-helical; don't know enough about them to determine which. I had them on my 9s."

Danke Thomas für Deine Mühe. Ich war nun in Beaulieu und das Getriebe stammt vermutlich aus einem 1.100 ccm-Riley, z.B. Typ Nine oder Brooklands, alles aus den 30er Jahren.
Viel Spaß und Freude in Goodwood.

Hallo Manfred,
bin wieder zurück auf dem Kontinent nach 2,300km mit dem RIley... inzwischen habe ich auch noch folgende Info erhalten:
"I think you'll find it to be the earlier "All Helical" from mid 1933.The second type with All Helical gears (late 1933 and in to 1934 from Ch #602261) had the dipstick on the other side and was the one with the flexible mounted remote control with different mounting clamp.
It would appear that this gearbox has had a modified extension plate re-worked to allow fitting into the MG.
Info gleaned from Riley 9 Instruction Books and "As Old as the Industry" (David Styles)"
Passt also genau zur Info, die Du in Beaulieu (das wir leider um ein paar Stunden verpasst hatten!) erhalten hast.
